今海外でじわじわと流行しているハッシュタグ『#100daychallenge』をご存知でしょうか?

これは誰でも好きにテーマを決めて、日常生活の中でとにかく『 100日続けられそうなこと』『100日挑戦してみたいこと』を、誰でも自由に勝手にチャレンジするブームなんです!

 

人によってテーマは様々・・ 例えば、お肉屋さんの彼は100日全部違う種類の肉のカットをアップすること。  

I know they’re a bit “done” but today marks our foray into the world of an Instagram #100daychallenge . We’ll be sharing 100 different meat cuts. Why we love them. Why we hope you love them. How to cook them. How not to cook them. Stuff like that. A lot of information but – hopefully – just a way for you explore #propermeat . First up is prime rib. These are the first four ribs from an animal’s forequarter. We dry age them as a whole piece. They can then be roasted as a whole joint or cut like this to be individual steaks. As you move forward on the carcass the shoulder blade will feature. This piece is from the other side, closest to the ribeye. (You’ll see how similar it looks to ribeye on the bone). Cook it outdoors on a grill and don’t try and impress friends by eating it too rare. This isn’t a pissing contest. The nubs of fat need to be broken down and melt into the meat. このカットでもう81日目って、本当に100日達成できそうですね!

Day 81. Lamb cannon. It goes by a few names but – let’s face it – rolling into a butchery and ordering a lamb cannon is about as cool as you’re likely to feel when placing a meat order. So we’ll stick with that. Essentially just a deboned loin of lamb, the actual cut isn’t quite as cool as the rockstar name suggests. That said, it does have its redeeming features. The uniform shape for one. That allows even cooking and makes it an easy cut to portion. At FFMM we cut ours long and then divide them into two. The top piece of meat shows the piece starting from the rump end (on the left) and ending at the rib section. The bottom piece is the rib section which would be the equivalent of a whole beef ribeye primal. Pan roast either of these cuts until pink and serve on parsnip purée with caper butter. #100daychallenge #frankiefenner #lamb #meat #meatporn #food #pasturefed #grassfed #freerange #cook #food

自分の中で決めたことだけど、誰かが見てくれている・・ 応援してくれているんだ、一緒に頑張っているんだ!と 思えるから100日目を迎えた頃には達成感でいっぱいですね。
